The evaluation procedure by the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) is based on the following considerations:

  • HEIs have a need for differentiated expression.
  • On an internal level, the evaluations are to show potential for improvement.
  • On an external level, it must be shown that the quality criteria required for accreditation agencies were reviewed (e.g. systematic external referral back to HEIs), and that - where appropriate - measures for change/improvement resulting from the review were adopted and implemented.

If the HEI does not provide any evaluation results, follow-up by telephone can be made with the aim to remind the HEI of the documentation of the impressions gained and to offer assistance, if needed. Summaries of the evaluation results are published annually in anonymous form in the FIBAA newsletter.
