Ceremonial handing of FIBAA Premium Seal for Executive Master of Business Administration (Kellogg-WHU) at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management (08.02.2012)

The FIBAA Premium Seal was awarded to the study programme “Executive Master of Business Administration (Kellogg-WHU) at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management on February 6, 2012 in Vallendar.

The certificate was handed over by Thorsten Schomann, Head of Institutional Quality Assurance Procedures at FIBAA. Schomann congratulated Professor Michael Frenkel, Rector of WHU, as well as his team for having successfully completed the procedure of accreditation: “The delivery of the Premium Seal is an outstanding moment for the Otto Beisheim School of Management as well as for FIBAA. Both, FIBAA and WHU are closely connected by their striving for quality.” Since 2005 FIBAA supports and assists WHU throughout Programme Accreditation Procedures. Within this process WHU was constantly able to prove the special features of its study programmes.”

Thorsten Schomann praised the outstanding quality of the „Executive Master of Business Administration“ by referring to the criterias of the study course which exceed standard requirements. “The study course is characterized by excellent conceptualization regarding content and organisational structure. The conceptualization meets the objectives of the Bologna process perfectly. Particularly noteworthy is the matter of fact that the conceptualization of the study course is ideally harmonizing the goals of qualification and competence. The international dimension is one of the study course’s strengths. Further I am impressed how commercial contacts are developed and deepen practice orientation of the study courses. This practice orientation enhances the employability of graduates.”

Schomann also acknowledged WHU’s dealing with the Bologna reform: "The study reform which was arising in the wake of the Bologna reform was a big challenge for many universities. WHU met this challenge with flying colours. The university succeeded in adapting its study courses proactively to the changing circumstances in the education and labour market.”
