In order to ensure that FIBAA assessors have the relevant expertise, several criteria have to be met when appointing new assessors. FIBAA distinguishes between three different groups: lecturers/ professors, representatives of the professional practice and students.

FIBAA carries out 3 different types of accreditation procedures: programme accreditation, institutional accreditation and certification of training courses. Since the subject-matter of these procedures is different, the reviewers have to meet different requirements.
