Accreditation in Vietnam


 

Recognition by the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam (MOET)

According to the decision 1940 of the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam (MOET) FIBAA was recognized as an international accreditation agency in Vietnam. FIBAA is allowed to conduct programme accreditation in the areas of law, business and management, social science and behaviour studies.

Accreditation Procedures

Since 2019, FIBAA has conducted more than 70 programme accreditations and several institutional accreditation procedures at Vietnamese universities.

FIBAA workshop with University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) on March 25, 2025:             

“Pathways to international accreditation and sustainability”

The international workshop, co-organized by FIBAA and UEH, will provide a platform to discuss the current state of higher education in Vietnam and offer practical recommendations for universities to enhance the quality of their education and to effectively prepare for an international accreditation procedure.

This workshop will provide valuable insights into international accreditation processes, certification standards for digital education, and sustainability in higher education.

  1. International Quality Accreditation of Training Programmes in Vietnam – FIBAA’s Division for International Accreditation will outline key assessment criteria, common deficiencies, and recommendations for Vietnamese universities preparing for international accreditation. The session will also provide guidance on crafting precise and effective self-evaluation reports.

  2. Certification Standards for the FIBAA Quality Seal "Excellence in Digital Education”® – FIBAA’s Division for Certification will introduce the assessment criteria for this quality seal, which recognizes best practices in online, hybrid, and blended learning. The session will address FAQs about the certification process and provide recommendations for Vietnamese universities seeking this recognition.

  3. Quality Standard for Sustainability in Higher Education by Hobéon – In alignment with UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Sustainable Higher Education (SHE) framework developed by Hobéon provides institutions with a tool to integrate sustainable development into education. Recognized by FIBAA, this framework enables programmes to obtain a Sustainable Higher Education Certificate, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability.

Following the presentations, there will be dedicated Q&A and networking sessions, providing an opportunity to engage with experts and discuss best practices. Additionally, participants will have the chance to exchange with UEH representatives on their experience with FIBAA accreditation.
