
Who we are?
Maqsut Narikbayev University (MNU) is a private university in Astana, Kazakhstan. Established as the country’s foremost law school, it now offers about forty bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programmes in Business, Law, Social Sciences, and Humanities through five schools: Law, International Economics, Liberal Arts, Business, and Journalism. The University’s mission is “to serve people through providing high quality and affordable education,” and its vision is “to contribute to the creation of an honest and just society, whose development is determined by science, education, social responsibility and moral values.”
MNU hosts eight specialised research schools in law and governance, the multidisciplinary think tank MIND, and a robust qualityassurance system. It is accredited by FIBAA, appears in the THE Impact Ranking, and belongs to both the Kazakhstani Association of Higher Education Institutions and the Eurasian Association of Universities. Since 2011 the University has been a signatory to the Magna Charta Universitatum, underscoring its commitment to academic freedom and institutional autonomy.

We seek partnerships that support dual and double degree programmes, joint research projects and broadening student and faculty exchange programmes in Law, Business, Economics, Social Sciences, Humanities, and the specialized fields covered by our research schools and MIND think tank.
What we offer
Maqsut Narikbayev University offers partners full access to a modern, well-equipped campus. Every classroom is fitted with large TV displays, highspeed internet, and multimedia capabilities; dedicated computer laboratories and coworking zones provide additional workstations for teaching, research, and group projects. Visiting students and staff benefit from a comprehensive library that holds roughly 44 000 unique print titles (about 182 000 copies), the specialised Altyn Qor law collection, extensive periodicals, and an Online Public Access Catalogue for easy retrieval. Digital resources include ebooks from Oxford Scholarship Online, Wolters Kluwer Digital Library, and EBSCO, plus access—through national or institutional licences—to ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, Westlaw Next International Academics, EBSCO Business Source Complete, and other leading databases. These facilities ensure that incoming partners have the physical infrastructure and academic resources needed for successful joint research, teaching, and mobility programmes.
