Connecting Quality, Innovation and Global Partnerships for the Future of Higher Education
The Malaysia–Germany Higher Education Summit 2026, jointly organised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA), will bring together higher education leaders, quality assurance agencies, institutions, industry representatives and education stakeholders from Malaysia, Germany and around the world.
Taking place on 4–5 November 2026 in Berlin, Germany, the Summit provides an international platform for meaningful dialogue, exchange of ideas and sharing of experiences on the evolving higher education landscape.
As higher education continues to be transformed by artificial intelligence, digitalisation, new forms of learning, changing workforce needs and increasing international connectivity, the Summit will explore how institutions and quality assurance systems can remain agile, trusted and future-ready. With Malaysia and Germany serving as important bridges between the Asian, European and global higher education communities, the Summit seeks to strengthen international connections, encourage the exchange of good practices and create opportunities for meaningful institutional and strategic partnerships.

The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) is Malaysia’s national quality assurance agency responsible for implementing the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF). Operating under the authority of the Minister of Higher Education, MQA develops national standards, credit systems, and other reference instruments for higher education. It is also responsible for assuring the quality of higher education institutions and study programmes, as well as accrediting academic programmes and qualifications in Malaysia.

Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) is a Swiss-German internationally recognized accreditation agency with more than 30 years of experience in programme and institutional accreditation. FIBAA’s areas of expertise include business and management, economics, law, social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, engineering and technology, computer science and IT, education, and related fields.
