FIBAA is led by a new Managing Director

Since May 1, 2020, Mag.a Diane Freiberger (MBA) is the new Managing Director of FIBAA and replaces Prof. Dr. Kerstin Fink.

FIBAA could attract an experienced and strong leadership personality for its management. Mag.a Diane Freiberger has been working in the higher education sector for almost 20 years and has spent 10 years working on quality assurance. As Vice Rector at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, she was particularly responsible for the area of quality in studies and teaching and was also Head of Programme and Quality Management at the Business School.

Her academic education biography began with a master's degree at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She then taught for nine years at the Catholic Foundation Academy for Social Pedagogy, Munich. After completing an additional qualification as a PR specialist at the Bavarian Academy for Advertising and Communication in 2000, Mag.a Diane Freiberger worked for seven years in the field of marketing and public relations in the private sector. Finally, she decided to return to the higher education area, where she has been active in University Management since 2007. In 2011, Mag.a Diane Freiberger completed the Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.

The new Managing Director of FIBAA has valuable experience in the field of accreditation from various perspectives. In the course of her professional career she worked at the Austrian quality assurance agency AQA Austria and was responsible for project management for national and international institutional evaluations, audits and programme accreditations. As a quality manager, she built up the internal process and quality management at the University of applied sciences Kufstein Tirol and subsequently, as Vice Rector, successfully led the University through external audits and accreditation of study programmes. As a scientific assessor in institutional accreditation procedures, she is also familiar with the perspective of peer review experts.

Her profound and cross-sectoral knowledge and experience in quality development in higher education and the multi-perspective of internal and external quality assurance is a profitable enrichment for FIBAA. With her broad-based leadership experience, outstanding management skills and her expertise in national and international higher education policy developments, Mag.a. Diane Freiberger (MBA) will continue FIBAA's success together with the FIBAA team, the Accreditation Committee members, the clients and the Foundation Board, and will continue to shape it in an innovative and future-oriented way.
